The NATO OR&A Conference Theme for 2018 is: Tackling Complexity in NATO Operations in Contested and Degraded Environments.
The Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation and the Science and Technology Organization organize the 12th NATO Operations Research and Analysis (OR&A) Conference on 15 and 16 October, hosted by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia in Zagreb, Croatia.
Participation is open to NATO, Partnership for Peace nations and Australia only.
As part of the continuous development of the NATO OR&A Community of Interest, the OR&A Conference will bring together analysts from NATO commands and agencies, national defence analysis and research organisations, centres of excellence, academia, and industry to experience an exciting program with plenty of opportunities for discussion and debate.
The conference will run for two full days starting on Monday 15 October 2018 at 0800 and ending at 1730 on Tuesday 16 October 2018.
Three streams on Understanding and Operating in the Cyber Domain, Challenges and Opportunities of Rapid Reinforcement & Force Mobility and its Logistics Aspects, and Sense Making Through Analytics will run in parallel.
Training sessions will be scheduled on SIMUL8 (a powerful, intuitive simulation software that anyone can use to get results fast. Improve processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs) and on AltA (a broadly applicable capability that supports the inclusion of independent, critical thought and alternative perspectives to support decision-making). Training seats are limited so please indicate your preference during the online registration.
The General Information Package is available (password protected) at this meeting announcement after your registration is validated. This package contains all information to make travel arrangements, benefit from negotiated hotel rates and online conference fee payment. Blocked rooms will be released on 21 September 2018.
The presentations will be published at the same location (password protected) 1 week prior to the conference and only accessible to participants in the conference.
