The Information Systems Technology (IST) Panel of the NATO Science and Technology Organization (STO) Collaboration Support Office is pleased to announce the IST-195 Research Symposium on Societal challenges for Operations in the Information Environment.
This Symposium will be held in Stockholm, Sweden, on 4-5 October 2022 (in conjunction with the IST Panel 50th PBM).
It is NATO Unclassified and open to NATO Nations, NATO Bodies, STO Enhanced Opportunity Partners (Australia, Finland, Japan, Sweden) and Singapore.
The Information Environment (IE) is an active battlespace where societal beliefs, attitudes and behaviours at the local, regional and national level can have a profound impact on outcomes; impacts ever more critical and challenging in today’s global landscape. The main objective of this two-day Symposium is to gain better understanding by exploring the above concepts and determining how NATO can best deal with IE threats to democracy. We also strive to develop a shared understanding of what it means to be in a ‘’state of winning’’ within the IE.
Blocked hotel bookings for the Symposium have been made; you are kindly requested to book your accommodation before 2 September 2022. After this date, rooms and prices will be reserved on availability basis only.
