The System Analysis and Studies (SAS) Panel will hold a Research Symposium on Enhancing Energy Security Resilience, Capabilities and Interoperability. The event (reference SAS-190) will be held virtually.
The symposium will address the energy security threats present on NATO’s eastern flank, while also acknowledging that cyber threats evolve rapidly with technology and that these combined dynamics demand greater scrutiny. It will increase the depth and scope of critical areas, with an underlying theme of improving resilience, capabilities, and interoperability. Focus will be on the exchange of ideas and best practices, as well as to highlight the study’s accomplishments and more narrowly focus on ways to enhance NATO member states’ resilience, capabilities and interoperability in a hybrid warfare/energy security context.
The tentative programme is attached and will focus on the following five topics:
Registration for the virtual event will be open until 11 November 2024. The information to connect via WebEx will be shared with validated participants only.
Participation will be open to nationals from NATO nations, Partnership for Peace nations and Global partners.
